AI assistant for GP practices

Answers the phone when the practice can’t.

Praxiro takes calls day and night, books appointments, records prescription requests and keeps patients informed by SMS. Surgery time goes to patients, not to the phone.

One system, three ways in

Phone, online booking and the practice all write to the same calendar

AI phone assistant

Answers calls day and night, books appointments, records prescription and call-back requests.

Online booking

Patients book or cancel on their phone, with no account and no password.

Practice dashboard

Calendar and tasks in one place, in the browser, with nothing to install.

Practice calendar

No slot can be booked twice, wherever the booking comes from.

One call, step by step

What happens while the patient is on the phone

  1. 01

    Answers and introduces itself

It picks up on the first ring and says that an AI assistant is speaking.

  2. 02

    Identifies the patient

Finds the record by name and date of birth. If unsure, it asks again.

  3. 03

    Offers a slot

Chooses the visit type from the complaint and only offers slots that are really free.

  4. 04

    Books and notifies

Writes it into the calendar, and the patient gets an SMS straight away.

  5. 05

    No booking for warning signs

For chest pain or shortness of breath it advises 112 and alerts the practice.

On the practice’s own number

Forward the existing line or use a new local number. No new phones needed.

It takes the routine calls

Decisions stay with the practice: the doctor reviews every prescription request.

SMS and waiting list

Fewer missed and empty appointments

  1. Confirmation and reminderAn SMS at booking and on the day before.
  2. Easy cancellationBy phone or online, day and night.
  3. No slot stays emptySomeone free on the waiting list moves in. Acute cases first.

Reminder: we expect you tomorrow at 8:50, Dr Taylor’s practice. To cancel, call or go online.

A slot has opened up and we have booked it for you: Tue 9:20, Dr Taylor’s practice. If it doesn’t suit you, please cancel.

Safety

It knows its limits

No booking for warning signs

For chest pain, shortness of breath or weakness on one side, it advises calling 112 and alerts the practice.

No medical advice

It prescribes nothing and makes no diagnoses. The doctor decides on prescription requests.

Always says it is an AI

It introduces itself as an AI assistant at the start of every call, as the EU AI Act requires.

A person when needed

If a caller wants to speak to a person, the practice gets a task straight away.

Privacy

The AI doesn’t run in someone else’s cloud

External AI provider: receives nothing

No external AI provider

Speech recognition, language model and voice run on our own servers. No outside AI company processes the call.

Servers in Europe

In production on EU servers, in line with the GDPR.

Only the data that’s needed

Name, date of birth, phone number. No medication names in SMS. A data processing agreement with every practice.

Demos use fictional sample data. Real patient data only goes into the production system in Europe.

The difference

What makes Praxiro different?

01

Its own AI

Voice and text never go to an outside AI provider.

02

Built for GP practices

Warning-sign screening, prescription requests, waiting list. Not a generic phone bot.

03

One system

Phone, online booking, calendar and SMS together, not separate products.

04

Quick to start

Runs in the browser: no installation, no new hardware.

Questions

What practices usually ask

Can’t find your question? Write to us and we’ll answer.

Write to us
Do we need new phones or a new number?

No. The practice’s existing line can be forwarded to the assistant, or the practice gets a local number. The practice dashboard runs in the browser, with nothing to install.

What if a patient wants to speak to a person?

The assistant takes the request and the practice gets a task straight away to call the patient back.

What if the assistant doesn’t understand the caller?

It asks again. If the name or date of birth is unclear, it only asks for the missing part, and it only books for identified patients.

Does it give medical advice?

No. It prescribes nothing and makes no diagnoses; the doctor decides on prescription requests. For warning signs such as chest pain or shortness of breath it advises 112 and alerts the practice.

Where is patient data stored?

In production in an EU data centre, under the GDPR, with a data processing agreement signed with the practice. Voice and text never go to an outside AI provider.

Does it connect to e-prescriptions and practice software?

In development: e-prescriptions (EESZT in Hungary, E-Rezept in Germany, ELGA and e-card in Austria) and importing patient records from the current practice software in one go.

How can we try it?

Apply as a pilot practice. We look at your calls and routines, set the system up, and at the end of the trial we review together how many calls it handled and how much time it saved.

Pilot programme

We are looking for pilot practices

  1. 1

    Conversation

We look at the practice’s calls and daily routine.

  2. 2

    Setup

Opening hours, appointment types, what can be booked online.

  3. 3

    Trial period

With a local number or by forwarding the existing line.

  4. 4

    Review

How many calls it handled and how much time it saved.

More time for patients.

In a short demo we show you the system, and you can call the assistant live.
